Brief introduction:

Murchison is one of the largest parks in Uganda split into two parts by the famous River Nile. As you enter the park, a view of Budongo forest, rugged terrain of the western Rift valley and; the top of Murchison falls where water cascades through a narrow gorge 45M deep forming continuous uproar with visible rainbow through the day, all make your dreams come true. The Northern part of the park comprises of open savannah and dotted woodland that harbors a variety of animals and bird life. This is and area for game viewing and photography A three hour launch cruise down the bottom of the falls following River Nile is special and enjoyable as visitors see hippos, crocodiles, elephant waterbucks and many water birds. DAY ONE:

The Safari begins from Kampala/Entebbe. Our driver/guide picks you at 8:00am from your Hotel of Residence, Drives you across several districts. A stop over is made at Masindi for snacks at Masindi Hotel. Your trip continues to Budongo forest and to the top of Murchison falls. See, feel and photograph the beauty of the spot as you relax around. If you are booked to Paraa, cross the Nile by ferry at 1:00pm or 2:00pm. A taste of evening game drive for at least one hour is a lifetime experience as you may encounter animals taking cover to avoid spots where lions are common. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY TWO:

Begin your day with a cup of African coffee ready for a game drive, bird watching and sight seeing across the open savannah dotted woodland and riverine vegetation along the Nile and Albert delta. Here expect to meet elephants, giraffes, buffalos, lions, leopards, waterbuck and a countless population birds, return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch. After lunch, a three hour boat trip along the Nile gives you assured chance to see the falls from the bottom angle. Hippos, crocodiles, antelopes, and aquatic birds can be seen along the shores of the River.

DAY THREE:

Wake up at 6:00am prepared to take a photograph of the African rising sun in the morning and enjoy African breakfast. Visitors booked for Paraa have to cross with the ferry back to Masindi using the same route for lunch. Return to Kampala at leisure where you are dropped to a place of your choice.

DAY ONE: Arrival-Entebbe-Kampala

DAY TWO:Kampala-kibale

Today begins with breakfast and later head for Kibale Forest National Park, approximately 4 hours drive via Mubende. Kibale Forest is a large protected block of rainforest, which has the highest number of primates in Africa such as Chimpanzees, Grey Cheeked Mangabey, Red Tailed monkey and Red Colobus. DAY THREE:Kibale/Queen Elizabeth Park

Early morning trek for chimpanzees. Kibale is the best reserve in Africa to view chimps, a thick jungle with a towering canopy. Dinner and overnight at spectacular Mweya Lodge or Jacana Lodge, Katara Lodge, Hippo Hill camp, perched right on the edge of the escarpment overlooking the Uganda great Lakes and Maramagambo forest respectively. DAY FOUR:Queen Elizabeth Park

Have a dawn game drive in Uganda’s best park, where all the big game can be seen in abundance. Famous for elephant and kob, expect to see some rarer animals like giant forest hog. There are 638 recorded bird species in the park! After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which connects Lakes Edward and George, for large numbers of buffalo, crocodile and hippo. Today’s drive is through what is probably East Africa’s most spectacular scenery, the savanna grassland which reaches the Kyambura Gorge. All should carry torches. The afternoon lunch is spent at Agip Motel Mbarara. Drive to Mburo Park with evening game drive around the park tracks. Dinner and over night at Mihingo Lodge (High end/luxurious accommodation), or Mantana Tented Camp, Arcadia Cottages (Medium class accommodation) or at the Rwonyo Rest Camp Bandas, Mburo Tents (Low budget/basic accommodation).

DAY SIX:Mburo

After breakfast make an early morning game walk in the park which is an is an extension of the Tanzanian Plains with big herds of Zebra, Impala, Eland , Warthogs ,buffalo and other savannah species. 4Days 3Nights Kidepo Valley Flying Safari

Miles and miles away from the noise and dust of the city, Kidepo Valley National Park is a completely different world. Big skies, vast plains, inspiring views from every vantage point.and wildlife everywhere you look. Kidepo offers breathtaking open savannah which is surrounded by spectacular mountain landscape no where to be seen in Africa!

The park is home to elephant, zebra, giraffe, huge herds of buffalo, warthog, duiker, hartebeest, lion, leopard, cheetah and hundreds of bird species. A game drive around Narus valley offers visitors chance to see the highest concentration of Buffalo, and Elephants. Other animals that may be seen roaming around include: Jackal, Zebra, Roan Antelope, waterbuck, warthogs, Jackson’s Hartebeest, Eland, Oribi, Cheetah, Leopard, Klipspringer, Lion etc. The park boosts of being the highest concentration of birds endemic to Uganda like: Ostrich, Kori bustard, vultures, pygmy falcon, hornbills, eagles etc.

One more interesting thing about Kidepo is the cultural experiencethat will bring into contact with Karamojong peoples at Karenga and Kapedo. Meet the local elders and have an opportunity to interact with them. They will show you the kraals, the grinding stones and many more interesting items. For adventurers, Kidepo is the point where you can visit the IK people who live on top of Mt .Morungole towards the Kenya border via Kawalakol village. A day hike to meet an interact with the IK is amazing and incredible! And this wonderful park is now home to Uganda’s newest safari lodge, Apoka.

Traditional Bandas are also available for budget travelers but they should bring in their own foods and drinks to be planned by your Tour operator during your stay at the park. The park is accessible by road or air. We know Kidepo, the language, geography and convenient time to pay a visit. To cut off costs, we prefer an organized group of between 02- 20 PAX. DAY ONE:

Following breakfast, you will be transferred to Kajjansi Airstrip to meet your Private charter plane to Kidepo National Park. Isolated from the Ugandan mainstream by the harsh plains to the north of Mount Elgon, Kidepo Valley National Park is Uganda’s second biggest National Park, and Apoka Lodge is the only lodge in the entire area. Kidepo is one of Africa’s last great wilderness areas, a tract of rugged savannah dominated by Mount Morungole and ransected by the Kidepo and Narus Rivers. Perennial running water in the Narus River makes Kidepo an oasis in the semi desert.

This afternoon you can either take a game drive around the lodge area or perhaps recover from your flights with a refreshing dip in stunning swimming pool. Carved out of a granite kopje the pool affords fantastic views down the Narus valley and over a waterhole frequented by many animals including Bullbull – our friendly elephant and unofficial head gardener! DAY TWO:

After an early breakfast, go for morning game drive to Kanangorok hot spring. A variety of animals can be seen roaming around including Ostrich. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon have a cultural experience that will bring into contact with Karamojong peoples at Karenga and Kapedo. Meet the local elders and have an opportunity to interact with them. They will show you the kraals, the grinding stones and many more interesting items. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Overnight at Apoka Safari Lodge (Full Board).

DAY THREE:

After breakfast, we will visit the abandoned Katurum Lodge. Built by Idi Amin, this impressive structure is worth a visit for the views alone. A must for birders, look out for Fox Kestrel, Eastern Chanting Goshawk, Grasshopper Buzzard, Montague’s Harrier, Fan Tailed Raven and the very rare Stone Partridge. Overnight at Apoka Safari Lodge (Full Board).

DAY FOUR:

After breakfast, visit the bird hide and enjoy a guided nature walk. Return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch board your chartered flight back to Entebbe. Airport pickup to return to Kampala late in the evening.

3 Days Mout Elgon Hiking Safari

Located in Eastern part of Uganda with Kenya border, Mt Elgon (Masaba) is an extinct Volcano with the largest surface area in the world (50 km by 80 km).Its peak is Wagai(4321m ASL).

The Bagisu and the Sabiny who practice circumcision every even year are the inhabitants of the area. June to August and December to March are the best times to visit the park since this is the dry period.

The park contains varied peculiar attractions of montane forests, bamboo, giant Lobelia, brilliant species of flowers, birds, bushbuck, antelope, wild cat, rock hyrax, hyena, caves, craters, gorges, the magnificient Sipi falls and many more.

DAY ONE:

Our driver/Guide picks you from your Hotel/residence ready for a drive to the Eastern part of Uganda. On your way to Jinja you will see Mabira forest, River Nile, Lake Victoria, tea and sugar plantations around Lugazi and Kakira. Take Tiriny upgraded highway to reach Mbale town in one hour’s time from Iganga. Lunch break at Mbale Resort. After lunch, explore the magnificent Sipi falls and adjoining areas. DAY TWO:
